WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COMIC BOOK AND A GRAPHIC NOVEL?
A Comic Book is a single issue of a serialised story. Single issues are more collectable and can have variant covers that are worth more than a standard one. Depending on the title single issues may be released weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
After a story arc has completed its run as a comic book, it is re-published as a Collected Edition, or Graphic Novel. The first publishing is usually a hardcover edition followed by a trade paperback edition a few months later.
Graphic Novels usually don't contain ads, but often include extras that were not in the original publication.
