Dark Dimensions Comics & Collectables
  • Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a comic book and a graphic novel?

A Comic Book is a single issue of a serialised story. Single issues are more collectable and can have variant covers that are worth more than a standard one. Depending on the title single issues may be released weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

After a story arc has completed its run as a comic book, it is re-published as a Collected Edition, or Graphic Novel. Graphic Novels usually don't contain ads, but often include extras that were not in the original publication.

This new title was just released in the US. Do you have it in stock?

Regretfully not at the moment. Dark Dimensions is not currently ordering stock from the US, We do hope to rectify this situation shortly.

Do you purchase pre-owned comic books or collectable memorabilia?

Dark Dimensions is currently not in a position to purchase pre-owned goods, however this may change in the future. That said, we do on occasion accept donations.

I have a collection of old comic books. How much are they worth?

Unfortunately, Dark Dimensions is not qualified to provide evaluations for pre-owned comic books. As there are a lot of factors to consider when evaluating old comic books, such as age, condition, and rarity, we recommend looking on eBay to see how much similar titles have sold for and using that information as a rough guide. If you think that you have an issue that may have some value, professional comic book evaluations are available in Australia, however prices usually start at $50 per comic.
